At the close of the harvest season, FOR THE LOVE OF FOOD is a gathering rooted in food, connection, and the spirit of offering. Bring a recipe, a story, an idea or a hope for the future as we come together to share what we have gathered and imagine what we might create together.

This year’s Good Food Gathering will focus on evolving our network, growing our understanding and connections, celebrating our collective work, and sharing food together.

As the Good Food Network’s annual gathering, this is one of the region’s key opportunities for people working across the food system to come together, bringing government, business, funders, farmers and food producers, Indigenous and community leaders, researchers, health and education partners, and community organizations into the same space.

Together, we will explore emerging trends, innovative and impactful work, and key findings from Good Food Evolution, our comprehensive 10-year evaluation of regional food-system collaboration and impact, through a creative, arts-based experience designed to spark new insights, relationships and possibilities for what comes next.

This year’s Gathering will be reflecting on the evolution of the Good Food Network, the tranformation of our regional food system, and the seeds we need to sow for a sustainable and equitable future.

CRFAIR and the Good Food Network promote healthy and sustainable food systems.  This considers our relationships with each other, and the land and waters of this region.  We endeavour to honour the land and its treaties by strengthening our relationship and responsibilities to them. We live and work on unceded Coast Salish Territories*, specifically of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees) and Xwsepsum (Esquimalt) Nations here in the core area, the W̱SÁNEĆ Nations {W̱JOȽEȽP (Tsartlip), BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin), SȾÁUTW̱,(Tsawout) W̱SIKEM (Tseycum)} out on the Saanich Peninsula and Gulf Islands, to the west Sc'ianew (Beecher Bay), T’Sou-ke, and Pacheedaht, and MÁLEXEȽ (Malahat) and Pune’laxutth’ (Penelekut) Nations.
